This is a one-semester course focused on close-reading and analyzing prose in English, written by authors who do not (safe for several arguable exceptions) fall within the realm of British and American literature. These are predominantly canonized writers who are loosely subsumed under so-called post-colonial literature, i.e. authors coming from former British colonies or Commonwealth countries. The coursework consists of a video-lecture plus some complementary material.
