The overland connections between Asia and Europe had been blocked for centuries due to different reasons. It is only in recent decade that the world´s attention became focused on re-interconnecting the entire Eurasian mass. During the course, different connectivity initiatives will be introduced, and both the positive as well as negative consequences of the recent developments will be discussed. The focus will be on the China´s Belt and Road Initiative and its implications but it is one of the aims of the lectures to introduce the plethora of other alternative transport projects.
