The aim of the course is to develop an understanding for international organizations and regimes from perspectives of international relations theory. The course begins with an introduction and continues with discussion regarding different understadings of international organisations, and concepts associated with them, in the scholarly debate. The course addresses the difference between international organizations and international regimes, historical contexts of their evolution, and the relevance of these for global governance and security.
