This course thus aims to encourage students to think critically about EU’s role in the neighbouring countries and to better understand these countries’ main problems (human rights violations, democratisation, etc.). The course is intended to appeal to students who aim to familiarize with bilateral relations between the EU and its neighbouring states. It encourages students to think critically and develop the ability to analyse main concepts and reflect on their importance. Ultimately, it can help students choose which area of international relations they want to focus on, narrowing down their specialization.
